30+ Best Dog Friendly Stores

It’s shopping season!  Get quality time with your pooch and have them sniff out the perfect gift.  These big name stores may just love them as much as you do!

Here are a list of stores that you can take your doggo to all or most of the time.  (We've also included a short list with a 'hard no' for dogs - no judgement).

There are some best practice guidelines that are common for dog owners, but these friendly reminders make for the best experience for you, your dog, and other shoppers:

  1. Call ahead.  If you are unsure about the dog policy, you can check online or give a quick ring to customer service.

  2. Start slow.  If you or your dog are new to shopping together or visiting public places, take it slow.  Make a quick trip for the experience, you may not even have to buy anything.  Read your dog's cues and adjust accordingly.  Also, it may be best to plan your adventure during a less busy time of day.  Let's set everyone up for success!

  3. Use a leash.  Keeping your dog on a short lead will ensure comfort and safety for your dog, yourself, and for others.  This is also mindful for other shoppers who may not be as adapted to dogs.

  4. Potty.  Being prepared for potty needs are essential.  Allow your dog to go before entering, but also having supplies for any accidents.  You just never know on this one!  This combo on amazon is cost effective, leak proof bags, and has a dispenser with flashlight-  A one stop shop!
