Shift your mindset.

With over 20 years of experience as a health care clinician, I can sincerely tell you that one of the major impacts to battling for your health is your mind set.  If you believe that you can do it, your perseverance and persistence can help you thrive toward many victories!  You will overcome obstacles, you will fight battles, and you will accomplish greater goals.     

While this may or may not be a health situation for you, it is all relevant to adjusting your thoughts, believing in yourself and in own your power.  No matter the goal(s), you are entering a new phase, recreating your mind and your body.  You are setting goals to achieve and then progressing toward them.  That is so exciting!

So, whether you just getting out of bed, planning to run a marathon, or intend to start your own business - you must have your head in the game.  Key word here is must.  So don't let those little sneaky thoughts come in a crush what you've got going!  Because YOU CAN DO ANYTHING.  Final answer.

To make goals that are focused and achievable, they need to be S.M.A.R.T., which is an acronym that typically means:

  • Specific

  • Realistic
  • Time-limited

        Make goals for a short term time frame (one week, one month, 90 days, etc.) and then picture what you would like to achieve in one year.  Get clear about each of them using the SMART method.

        Be forgiving and listen to yourself, but don’t make excuses.  Plan to give yourself a reward to recognize what you have accomplished within your designated goal timing. 

You will know what you are working toward and that 'NAILED IT!' feeling is oh. so. GOOD.

 

Write It Down.

Seriously, don’t over complicate things.  Life is too short for that.  Keep your goals in mind and the steps needed to get there.
